Institutionalized

Tuesday, September 26th, 2006

Watching movies like “The Shawshank Redemption”, “The Inside Man” and “Prison Break” makes me think about Prison life. I took most of the words from “The Shawshank Redemption” for this work below.

Institutionalized

Naked and bared,

They marched me in.

Carelessly they stared,

At my wicked sin.

Like the day I was born

I’m bare-naked to skin

Couldn’t hear the foul scorn

Couldn’t see the genuine grin

My old life is already gone

As those bars slammed home.

Sent piercing cold to my bone

My new life in a small dome.

My judgement is my strife

My endurance is what I fake

When they send you here for life…

That’s exactly what they take.

Geology will be a friend.

For those who likes to endure.

Geology helps to understand,

The service of time and pressure.

These walls are really funny,

Hate them at first, used to them later.

You’ll depend on them finally,

When you’re “Institutionalized” forever.

The Freak – My Friend

Wednesday, September 20th, 2006

They throw me to the ground.

Mock me and spit on me.

I’m shock and fiercely bound.

As I wait my judgement to be.

I weep but no one cares.

I cry but no one hears.

I hope that one dares,

To see my flowing tears.

From the Book they speak.

Through the stone they act.

The elder then ask the freak,

“What do you think of this fact?”

The freak looks at my troubles.

I look down in fear and shame.

The freak sits down and scribbles.

And rise up with mouth full of flame.

“Let those with no sin.”

“Throw the first stone.”

I feel His words within.

I know, I’m not alone.

Slowly everyone disappear.

Knowing, the game is over.

I’m waiting with such fear.

As the freak comes closer.

“Where is everyone who accuses you?”

“Isn’t there anyone else?”

I reply “no sir”.

"Neither do I. Now go and sin no more."

I shout for joy though I’m weak.

I run back home as a believer.

I think again about that freak,

To understand that he’s actually my redeemer

My father

Tuesday, September 19th, 2006

This poem is dedicated to my father. Who lost his eldest brother, who is also my uncle.

My father,

Lost his brother.

To somewhere better

To someone greater

My father

Tell us to ponder

The death of a leader.

The birth of a forgiver

My father

Spend his life further

Which quoted by a singer

That nothing else matter

My father

Moves along stronger

To show me forever

The road of a sufferer

My father

Loves me together

With my brother and sister

By tasting the life of a loser.

Time Between

Monday, September 18th, 2006

Stay with me

Hear I say.

You and me

Gonna sail away.

Walk with me

Until the end.

By the sea

I’ll hold your hand.

But how am I?

Gonna tell you this.

Say the words

That is truly is.

The space between

Like a time to past.

To tell my words

Of the things that last.

Worm

Saturday, September 16th, 2006

Storming through this wicked morn,

With a wounded and a broken heart.

It will soon consume it till it worn.

O, That vicious worm with a deceiving art.

Many times it crawled by my slippery skin,

Looking for a soft and fragile dent.

It attacked by laying the venomous sin,

Till it grows become an undesired gent.

The Legs of an Athlete

The_leg_of_an_athlete_1

This photo: Belongs to my girlfriend, Evelyn Teh Lay Hoon. She is so good in taking photos, even with my 5 megapixels digicam (Konica Minolta - Dimage E-500), she can make the photo appears very Professional. I entitle this photo: "The Legs of an Athlete". (Dun ask me who’s leg is this!)

A lot of people see this photo differently. They have their own interpretation. Some say this photo signifies "Death", some say "Weariness". Give me your comments. Will like to see what you think about it.

Like a spider

Quick to pounce

Slow to still

Like a spider

I will kill

Venom to fill

Tempted to cry

Like a spider

I will suck you dry

Beauty to sin

Trap to gain

Like a spider

I care no pain

Myth to truth

A throne to feign

Like a spider

I will soon reign
